The people of Arab As-Sawahra are divided into two main clans:Al-Jaafrah clan: branched out from the following families: Al-Jaafrah, Al-Khalayleh, Al-Awaisat, Al-Mashahra, Al-Jaabis, Al-Sarkhi, and Bashir.Al-Halsa clan: from which the clans branched out: Al-Shugairat, Al-Halsa, Al-Obaidat, Al-Za’tara, Al-Zahaiqa..And that their name came in relation to the tomb of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Sahouri, which was surrounded by this tribeThey reside in Palestine in the lands between the shrine of the Prophet Musa in the north, the Ubaidiya clan in the south, the Jerusalem mountains to the west, and the Dead Sea to the east
